ABOUT US
Our Beginnings

ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid was founded in 2026 by Shawn and Sarah McGonagle, two business majors who saw both the beauty and the challenge of homeschooling. They believed deeply that homeschooling is one of the most effective ways for children to learn—but they also recognized how often families are forced to reinvent the wheel, spending countless hours searching for the best curricula, resources, and enrichment opportunities on their own.
They began asking a simple question: What if there were a more efficient, collaborative way to ENRICH the homeschooling experience?
With a vision rooted in stewardship, community, and educational excellence, Shawn and Sarah set out to create a hybrid model that combines the flexibility of homeschooling with the strength of shared resources, expert educators, and meaningful relationships. By creating economies of scale, ENRICHED allows families to benefit from high-quality programs and instruction—without sacrificing their role as primary educators.
Built on partnership and trust, ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid was established to serve families throughout the Kiski Region, offering a supportive community where students can grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
What began as a practical idea became a mission: to walk alongside homeschooling families and provide a place where learning is enriched—together.
At ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid, our mission is to partner with families to cultivate confident, curious learners in a Christ-centered community. We are firmly rooted in evangelical Christian principles, seeking to honor God in all we do while nurturing the hearts, minds, and character of each student.
We believe strong learning flourishes with academic accountability—thoughtful instruction, clear expectations, and meaningful feedback—while still allowing students the flexibility and personalization that homeschooling provides.
ENRICHED is community-driven, built on relationships between families, teachers, and students who learn and grow together. We strive to create an encouraging environment where children feel known, supported, and challenged to reach their potential.
Through a collaborative model, we walk alongside parents as co-educators, celebrating strengths, supporting growth, and fostering a love of learning that extends beyond the classroom.
At ENRICHED, education is more than academics—it’s discipleship, partnership, and community, all working together for God’s glory.
Our Mission
Expansion &
Looking Ahead
ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid is growing with purpose. Our current program is intentionally designed to serve 35 students, with five students per grade from Kindergarten through 6th grade, allowing us to maintain small class sizes, meaningful relationships, and individualized attention.
As our community grows, so does our vision. We plan to add one grade level each year, building thoughtfully and sustainably while staying true to our mission. We also recognize a growing need for homeschool community and connection for students in grades 7–12, especially for families who join ENRICHED with younger siblings and desire continuity for their older students.
To begin meeting this need, ENRICHED is launching four paid internship opportunities for the 2026–2027 school year through our ENRICH Teen Leadership Cohort. Selected students will have access to our teen lobby and Wi-Fi, allowing them to complete their traditional homeschool or cyber school coursework in a structured, supportive environment.
In addition, teen leaders will serve as classroom aides within our elective programs—including gym, art, music, and reading—gaining hands-on experience, leadership development, and valuable life skills. Participants attend free of charge while learning responsibility, teamwork, and service within our community.
This expansion reflects our commitment to growing alongside our families—creating pathways for students of all ages to learn, lead, and belong at ENRICHED.
