Frequently Asked Questions

What is a homeschool hybrid program?

A homeschool hybrid program blends the flexibility of homeschooling with the structure, accountability, and community of in-person instruction. At ENRICHED, students attend on-campus classes for core academics and enrichment while completing additional learning at home under parent guidance.
In many ways, ENRICHED functions similarly to a tutoring or academic support center, offering small-group instruction and accountability while parents remain in control of their child’s education.

See our Hybrid Model page for more.

Is ENRICHED a full-time school?

No. ENRICHED is not a full-time or umbrella school. We operate similarly to a tutoring or learning center designed specifically for homeschool families. Parents remain the primary educators and are fully responsible for their child’s homeschool program and compliance with Pennsylvania homeschool law.

Is ENRICHED a drop-off program?

Yes. ENRICHED is a drop-off program for students. Parents do not remain on-site during the school day, and there is no mandatory parent volunteer requirement.

What curriculum does ENRICHED use?

Grades K-4th will use ABEKA Language and Math curriculum. 5th and 6th grade will use Saxon Math and IEW (Institute for Excellence in Writing) for Language. Electives in Science, History, Spanish, Art, and Bible will function like unit studies and will be up to the instructor discretion.

What do I need to buy or do at home to be part of this program?

This is an enrichment program, so parents retain complete control of their child's educational program. Students will be expected to buy the Language and Math curriculum that coincides with this grade. Since teachers can only cover 2 language and 2 math lessons a week, it is recommended that parents do the remainder of the lessons with their child at home so as to keep them on pace with the class. If there is a textbook or workbook needed for the electives classes, parents will be made aware in plenty of time to prepare. IEW writing curriculum has a video component to it, so for our 5th and 6th grade learners, a basic laptop is helpful to have at home. We will be able to show the video lessons on a big screen during school. For our littlest learners, tearing the worksheets out of their books and sending them with their folder may be the best option!

Who is responsible for meeting Pennsylvania homeschool requirements?

Parents are solely responsible for meeting all Pennsylvania homeschool requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Completing 180 days of instruction

  • Ensuring required standardized testing at applicable grade levels

  • Securing and submitting end-of-year evaluations

  • Maintaining all required records and documentation

ENRICHED does not act as an umbrella school and does not submit homeschool paperwork on behalf of families.

PA Homeschool Compliance Disclaimer:
ENRICHED Homeschool Hybrid functions as a supplemental instructional and enrichment program. Enrollment at ENRICHED does not fulfill Pennsylvania homeschool legal requirements on its own. Parents acknowledge and agree that they are fully responsible for compliance with all applicable Pennsylvania homeschool laws and regulations.

What academic work is required at home?

ENRICHED expects parents to complete the entire ABEKA Language Arts and Math curriculum for their child on days students are not on campus or if they miss a scheduled class day. This expectation ensures academic consistency, skill mastery, and continuity of instruction.  On-campus instruction is designed to support and reinforce at-home learning—not replace it.

How is ENRICHED different from a tutoring center?

While ENRICHED shares some similarities with a tutoring center, our program is intentionally designed to go beyond academic support alone. By hiring qualified, experienced teachers, ENRICHED provides students with a diversity of instructional input—allowing them to learn from trusted educators in addition to their parents. Our teachers are not only skilled and passionate in their subject areas, but they also serve as positive role models in the Christian faith, reinforcing the values taught at home.

What grades does ENRICHED currently serve?

ENRICHED currently serves Kindergarten through 6th grade, with enrollment limited to five students per grade. We plan to add one grade level per year as the program grows.

What about middle and high school students?

We recognize the need for homeschool community for older students—especially for families enrolling younger siblings. For the 2026–2027 school year, ENRICHED is offering four paid internship positions through our ENRICH Teen Leadership Cohort for students in grades 7–12.

What is the ENRICH Teen Leadership Cohort?

The Teen Leadership Cohort provides selected students the opportunity to:

  • Complete homeschool or cyber school coursework on-site using our teen lobby and Wi-Fi

  • Serve as classroom aides in electives such as gym, art, music, and reading

  • Develop leadership, responsibility, and real-world skills

Teen leaders attend free of charge and gain meaningful experience while supporting our program.

What is the application process?

All families must complete an application process. Admission is based on program fit, alignment with ENRICHED’s mission and values, and available space. Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.

What does the program cost?

What about lunch?

Students should pack a lunch each day. ENRICHED provides a designated lunch and recreation time at the end of each day, allowing students to relax, connect with peers, and enjoy supervised free time.
